I’ve been on a relaxing vacation for the last couple of weeks, and I figured a fun thing to do would be to go out camping and enjoy a little peace and quiet. So I reserved a cabin way downstate, near Springfield, in the Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Fish & Wildlife Area.
And it was indeed a fun thing to do. I talked to nobody, I did a little fishing, I cooked over a fire, and had a couple of internet-free days to myself. Although, I think next time I’d probably prefer to do it the first week of October, rather than the first week of November. The weather is nicer, and the trees are still changing color.
